Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of Pace. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. We've kept the language plain — the health disclaimer in section 2 is the most important part, so please read it.
The essentials: Pace is a training program based on the public-domain Couch to 5K method — it's not medical advice. It's provided "as is" for personal use, with an optional one-time Premium purchase handled by Apple. Pace is built and operated by Philip Larsson in Sweden.
1Your use of Pace
Pace is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code (beyond what's permitted by law)
- Use Pace in a way that disrupts the service for other users
- Distribute, sell, or sublicense Pace
2Health disclaimer
Pace is a training program based on the established Couch to 5K methodology. It is not medical advice.
- Consult your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have any health conditions.
- Stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other symptoms of concern.
- Pace is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you're under 18, use Pace with a parent or guardian's involvement.
- Pace, Philip Larsson, and any contributors are not responsible for injury, illness, or other harm resulting from your use of the app.
3In-app purchases
- Premium is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, processed by Apple — not by us.
- Refunds are governed by Apple's App Store refund policy.
- Restoring purchases is supported in the app via the "Restore Purchases" button in Settings.
4Intellectual property
The Pace app, its design, content, voice cues, and brand are the property of Philip Larsson. The Couch to 5K methodology itself is in the public domain.
5Availability & updates
We aim to keep Pace working well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update, add, or remove features at our discretion. We'll communicate significant changes via the app's release notes.
6Termination
We reserve the right to discontinue the app at any time. If that happens, Premium purchases will continue to function on your installed device until iOS no longer supports the version.
7Changes to these terms
If we update these Terms, the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use of Pace after changes constitutes acceptance.
8Governing law
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Swedish courts.
